The h4 bulb is a type of halogen bulb that has two filaments and operates in our car: high beam and low beam or high beam and fog light. Quite a popular type of bulb, used in automobiles for a long time. It's still one of the best bulbs for illuminating the road while driving, which has been a standard in automobiles since the 1960s.
Inside the H4 bulb is a metal plate that acts as a reflector - its function is to transmit and direct the light coming from one of the filaments. Such a solution allows the light beam to be guided precisely, and thus ensures that when driving from the opposite direction, you do not blind passing drivers. The H4 bulb is contained in a bulb filled with gas from the halogen group (fluorine, bromine, iodine). As a result, the quartz is not darkened, and the tungsten particles that fall off the filament due to the high temperature do not settle on the walls of the bulb, but return back to the filaments. This is known as the regenerative halogen cycle, which greatly contributes to the longer life of the bulb.
