The Hikvision DS-2CD2085FWD-I compact camera is dedicated for use in surveillance systems based on IP DVRs. It is equipped with a 1/2.5" CMOS sensor with a resolution of 8 Mpix and an IR illuminator with a range of up to 30 m, ensuring proper visibility in the absence of light. It has a 2.8mm fixed focal length lens with a viewing angle of 102°. The IP67-rated high-tightness housing ensures protection of the electronics from adverse weather conditions, while IK10 class provides increased impact resistance (vandal-proof). The camera can be independently powered from any 12V outlet power supply or via POE with a single UTP cable. Thanks to the support of ANR function, the IP camera equipped with a memory card can save recordings on it in case of network connection failure, and when network operation is restored, the recordings will be synchronized with the DVR. This ensures continuity of recordings, even in case of communication problems between the camera and the DVR.

This model belongs to the new EasyIP Lite series of cameras, characterized by good image quality and low price. The EasyIP Lite features basic alarm events, such as motion detection and image tampering. The cameras in the series also have the ability to set up corridor mode and define a single ROI area of interest. A free service called Hik-Connect is available for the device, allowing full remote access to the camera/recorder in case of a floating IP address or via a domain address via a web browser. To use it, it is required to create a Hik-Connect account and add the device to it. The service allows connection via www, PC application or smartphone.
